The National Super League (NSL) winner will be decided on final day after Wazito FC, Kisumu All Stars and Nairobi Stima continued their three-pronged title assault on Wednesday.

All three won their respective matches in convincing fashion with Wazito crushing FC Talanta 4-1 at the Camp Toyoyo Grounds while Kisumu All Stars defeated Green Commandoes 4-2.

Nairobi Stima saw off Shabana FC 2-0 with the results now dealing a bitter blow on fourth-placed Ushuru FC as no other team outside the top three has any chance at earning top-flight promotion.

Wazito top the standings with 78 points while All Stars and Stima are joint second just one point adrift the leaders although the former have a better goal difference.

Despite dominating the opening minutes, Talanta fell a goal down in the 26th minute when Amos Asembeka found the back of the net to put Wazito 1-0 up. The visitors then doubled their advantage 10 minutes later through Collins Neto before Paul Acqua extended the lead 3-0 at the stroke of half-time, heading in Musa Masika’s cross.

The second half started with intensity as Talanta strikers tested Wazito goalkeeper. Wazito added the fourth one from the spot through Wilson Anekeya to seal the win.

Talanta FC grabbed their consolation in the last minutes through Job Tinyu.

Speaking after the match, Wazito FC head coach Fred Ambani acknowledged the intensity of the game and was happy to have gotten the three points

“It wasn’t easy at least we got three vital points and we knew what we were coming to do,” said Ambani


” The three points are important and we are looking forward to the last match, Added Ambani.
