Swamibapa will host Stray Lions at Nairobi Jaffrey in a crucial Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association Super Division League match on the final day on Sunday.
The winner of the game between the two teams will take the second position behind Kanbis ‘A’, who have secured the league title with two games in hand.
Kanbis top the league standing with 44 points. The Lions are second with 29 points, a single point ahead of Swamibapa.
When Swamibapa captain, Morris Ouma, was asked what he felt about tomorrow’s game, he said: “We have prepared well. Our aim was to win the league, but beating Stray Lions for second spot will be a consolation for us.”
The Lions’ assistant skipper, Shem Ngoche, who is usually the one with the team in the absence of Hiren Varaiya had this to say: “Our team is currently very weak as all the six professional players from India have already left for home.
“We are also going to miss the services of Abhishek Chidambaram and Aman Gandhi who have gone for further studies in England.”
Nairobi Gymkhana will be at home to Ruaraka who are bottom of the table with naught points and candidates for relegation.
