The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has responded to Deputy President William Ruto after he accused their leader Raila Odinga, of having secret plans to kick him out of Jubilee.

In the response, ODM made it clear to the DP that Odinga was not a member of Jubilee and he had no stake in the ruling party.

The party further stated that the handshake between teh former premier and Kenyatta was solely based on issues that affect Kenyans on a day to day basis and not even his political lies would stop it.

@RailaOdinga has no stake in Jubilee party, neither is he a Member. His handshake with Pres. @UKenyatta was mutual and based on fundamental issues affecting Kenyans. The unity of the country is paramount & no amount of political rhetoric, anger, despair & hot air will stop this,” read a tweet from the Orange Party.

This came after DP Ruto on Sunday accused the former Prime Minister of having intentions of kicking him out of Jubilee, the same way he kicked him out of ODM.

I was in ODM and they kicked me out and they took me to court, the same way they have summoned MPs Aisha Jumwa (Malindi) and Suleiman Dori (Msambweni). I want to tell you that you cannot kick me out of ODM, then follow me to Jubilee and attempt to do the same,” the DP stated.

Ruto who was on a tour of the Coast region further said Mr. Odinga was using the March 9 handshake to bring conmanship, confusion and hypocrisy into the Jubilee administration.
