St. Stevens High School student who was reported missing has been reunited with her family two days after school mates attacked journalists pursuing her story.

The minor whose identity could not be revealed, said she reported back to school for the Second Term opening but was sent back home for fees the following morning.

On her way back home to at Makutano bus stage, she felt thirsty and opted to buy drinking water from a vendor, unknown to her, that was the beginning of her one-month woes.

The girl who could not remember where exactly she was also only she lost trail of events minutes after taking water but clarified she had been hoping from place to place with no actual destination.

At one point, she bumped into a certain woman in public service vehicle upon which she asked her for fare and finally proceeded to Railways bus station to travel back home.

Following the fracas that saw vehicle belonging to the reporters burnt, police on Monday, June 3, arrested the school principal John Kyalo and Mary Makumi, mother of the missing and found student.

Kyalo was charged with malicious damage to property after court heard he and others willingly and unlawfully damaged a camera make PMW400 sonny and its tripod stand valued at KSh 2.5 million.


He was however freed on KSh 1 million bond.

The case was slated for mentioning on June 18, 2019.
