Kenya Power Kenya Power & Lighting Company (KPLC) Internal Auditor, Kodhek Ochiel has told court there was non-compliance to procurement procedure and presentation of false documents in 4.5 billion shillings procurement case involving former Kenya power Managing Director Dr. Ken Tarus and 11 others.

According to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji, Prosecution has lined up several witnesses to testify in the case.

The DPP ordered for the arrest of current and former senior managers over procurement of defective transformers and the irregularities in pre qualifying 525 companies for labour and transport contracts.

Three directors of Muwa Trading Company are accused of colluding with senior Kenya power managers to defraud the state corporation through illegal contracts.
