A new Twist has been introduced in the murder case surrounding the brutal murder of business woman Monica Kimani who was killed at her house in Kilimani area.

Detectives looking into the murder have ordered for forensic test on a Knife found at Jacque Maribe’s house to ascertain if it was the one used to slit Monica’s throat.

Reports indicate that the Knife taken from Ms Maribe’s Kitchen is an ordinary knife that was very sharp.

According to Nation, Detectives have also collected material from the crime scene where Ms Kimani’s body was was found and DNA tests would be done to establish who was at the murder scene.

Detectives have also launched investigation into electronic devices owned by Joe Irungu, Maribe and their neighbor Bryan Kassaine, which will involve recovering text messages, the question of their bank accounts has also popped up.

Highly trained

Investigations into the murder show that the person who killed Ms Kimani was a “Highly trained personnel”, no noise was heard from the house but signs of struggle were evident in the house.

A guard (Dominic Bisela) attached to Lavington Security has also been implicated in the murder case after it was discovered that his Identification Card was used by the suspect to gain access to Ms Kimani’s house.

Reports indicate that Bisela was off duty on September 17, two days before the murder of Monica and had gone to work at a construction site in Royal Park in Lang’ata, but his ID went missing at the time he was clocking out in the evening.

However, the same ID was used to sign into the Apartment the late Ms Kimani lived, the night she was killed.

DNA samples

On the other hand, Results from DNA samples collected from slain business woman Monica Kimani have confirmed that Joseph Irungu was at her murder scene.
