Anita Nderu is one bubbly girl but behind the glamorous pictures on Instagram and the joyous voice in the media, she has gone through tough times.

Despite the fact that she is famous, she has taken it upon herself not only to post the good times on social media but also come out and talk about her lowest moment.

Depression had taken a toll on her to a point she contemplated suicide. She confesses saying not many people could see it but she was suffering.

Above all even the one night I cried so much I contemplated killing myself, guys I wanted to blow my brains out, I remember only @dunn_can thought I wasn’t okay that night when he saw me, I asked myself, are they worth it? No. God has a plan, he always does just hang in there boo.
I recently addressed this issue in a WhatsApp group, the person supposed to be impartial was so rude, I cried even more.

Anita has been battling depression for the last 6 months and those months have been the worst ever in her life.

She cried a lot last year but she is grateful to her friends for always picking her calls and listening to her.

The first time she opened up about it she just wanted to use her story to help others who are going through the same issues.

She gave her fans some insights into what she was going through while battling depression.

She said:

Every time I share my story about going through depression all of last year I get DM’s asking how did you get over it? I am very misunderstood, I came to realize that, those who care to get to know me, know I am not what they perceived. I had to identify what was causing it first and as God would have it, it is off my hands. My friends and family picked all those dramatic calls.

Anita Nderu is a people’s person and so events were her place of joy.

But last year, it was too much work to leave the house and attend an event because she just did not want to be around people.

I cried myself to sleep and cried every morning, my eyes were always puffy. I would RSVP yes to events, hire gowns etc then not go cause I did not want to be around people plus my eyes were puffy.

She continued:

The people who caused all this still sleep soundly at night, I don’t get how but they do. To each their demons, right?

She concluded her piece of advice saying that the best way to deal with people who bring in negative vibes which leads to depression is to find a way to be better, do better and live better.

Anita Nderu
However, I had no choice but to get over it and move on. I still see all of them from time to time, I will never stop being a nice person, I will however only allow positive energy and nothing else.
None of this or all of this might help you. Either way please note, assholes exist and they thrive off your misery. Find a way to be better, do better and live better.
It hurts yes, but you would rather sleep with a clean conscience than not sleep at all.
God and Karma will deal with them boo.

The government will Saturday, June 6 give the way forward on the extended closure of schools when President Uhuru Kenyatta will be outlining the new Covid-19 measures.

Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha speaking on Friday when he received the final report of the Covid-19 National Education Response Committee said the government will provide further direction this weekend given that some of the main restrictions are set to expire this Saturday.

“The Ministry will review the report before advising the country on the steps to be taken regarding the academic calendar, and the level of preparedness that will be required of all stakeholders involved in the running of ECD centres, primary and secondary schools, and teacher training institutions. It should be instructive that all decisions will be made based on data and evidence provided by the Ministry of Health”, the CS said.

He said the ministry will take seriously the recommendations of the committee, and use them to set up further dialogue with all other stakeholders.

In the report, the Sarah Ruto-led committee gives guidelines on the re-opening of primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities.

The committee had in its preliminary report recommended that schools be reopened in September.

Other than re-organising the school calendar, the committee was tasked with advising the CS on the health and safety measures necessary for pupils, students, teachers and the entire school community prior to reopening of schools.

The committee was assigned the role of making recommendations for future preparedness based on lessons learnt from the pandemic. The

Magoha reprimanded parents and guardians for not providing sufficient care of their children while at home. This follows reports that four of Form One girls have become pregnant since the schools were closed in March 2020.

He said he was perturbed after the Directorate of Criminal Investigations sent out a cautionary statement warning of internet child abusers who have started luring children into all manner of cyberspace offenses after invading their digital learning classes.

“The Ministry wishes to urge parents, guardians and caregivers to firmly take charge of the custody of their children while at home and protect them from sexual and drug abuse, teenage pregnancies, female genital cutting and child labour. It is necessary to guarantee the safety and health of children while at home” warned the CS.

He has directed that all offenses against learners be reported to the National Government Administration Officers and Directorate of Criminal Investigations as directed.

Through the Kenya Institute for Curriculum Development, the Ministry has extended lessons provided through the broadcast, online and digital learning until such time that schools are reopened.

JUST BRENDA: My girlfriend is fat

By JUST BRENDA

Hi Brenda,

My girlfriend is fat. There is no other way to say it. I have done those things that people say you should do to encourage her, but she lacks discipline. Her health is important to me because I want to be with her for a long time and I don’t want her to die and leave me alone because of sijui diabetes. What do I do?

 Dear Critical Kevin,

I mean, I appreciate your honesty but I am sure she might not, especially if you put it like that. No one likes to be told they’re fat or overweight or unhealthy. Though it sounds like you do care about her, even in the midst of the selfish I don’t want her to leave me alone, you might have to let her go on her own journey without you.

You say you’ve done all the things that someone is supposed to do – I assume that means exercise with her or get a couple’ gym subscription (which is now walking around outside because of Corona)? Going to see a dietician?

Had a serious conversation about your concerns where you are honest but not mean, with offering solid solutions? All that stuff? You can only push a person so much, to be honest – if they don’t believe in their health journey, you can’t make them.

I hope you didn’t start dating her when she was a bit rounder and thought you could change her, because that is where you waste your good time. Let her have her sugar. She’ll come around when she decides to – no pun intended.

Pierra Makena struggled with her body weight just like most women do when they give birth. After delivering her daughter back in 2016; Pierra Makena then ended up adding some extra weight leaving her looking totally different.

Although there are women who shed off baby fat just a few months after giving birth; Pierra unfortunately struggled with her weight for close to 4 years after welcoming her daughter.

At first she embraced the woman she had become but with time; she decided to join the gym which also didn’t work as fast (probably because of baby duties) but she now has a body that can make anyone fall in love!

With the ongoing quarantine lockdown, Pierra is said to have used this period to work on herself and from the new photos shared on her page; clearly prove that Pierra has not been taking any time off from her gym time.

In previous interviews, Pierra revealed that her weight loss journey took longer than expected since she wasn’t really focused. Of course this slowed down the weight loss journey; but luckily for her she never lost interest in terms of aiming to shed off the unnecessary body fat.

Fans and friends who had not seen her in a while sinc the lockdown went on to congratulate the yummy mummy for the amazing body; which of course will challenge the lazy people idling at home.
