– Hazard confirmed his imminent departure from Chelsea during the Europa League final
– The Belgian playmaker is keen to seal a summer move to Real Madrid
– The La Liga club has however failed to reach a deal with the Blues
Eden Hazard’s summer transfer to Real Madrid may fail to see the light of day after talks between the La Liga giants and Chelsea reportedly collapsing.
Hazard looks set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after confirming his imminent exit during the Europa League final.
Real Madrid are understood to be in a pole position to land the services of the Belgian playmaker after club chief executive Jose Angel Sanchez flying to London to complete the deal on Monday, June 3.
However, the transfer appears to have hit a stumbling block, with the UK Mirror reporting Sanchez left without a deal being struck between the two clubs.
Madrid were keen to have the deal sealed before Hazard reporting for international duty with Belgium on Tuesday, June 4.
Chelsea are said to be demanding around £115 million for the forward, but Madrid do not seem open to meet the valuation.
Despite having a year left on his current deal with the Blues, Hazard is still expected to depart the west London club this summer.
Meanwhile, Madrid have already completed their first big money move after Luka Jovic joining from Eintracht Frankfurt for £60 million.
