Deputy President William Ruto is warning political leaders against exploiting the building bridges initiative to advance their political interests and disintegrate jubilee’s unity.

The DP who was on a tour of the coast hit out at a section of politicians for allegedly attempting to infiltrate the party through conman ship, creating confusion and hypocrisy.

Ruto vowed not to entertain those whose motive of working with government was suspect.

Ruto would later proceed to Ziwa la Ngombe in Kisauni Constituency to flag off a water project before heading off to Majaoni in Shanzu where he was received with an expectant crowd waiting to receive the much talked about title deeds.

Thousands had converged to witness the issuance of 3000 title deeds worth 9 Billion shillings, a new dawn for the residents that have lived as squatters for over 50 years.

It is here that the DP did not mince his words in telling off his political detractors.

Ruto hit out at a section of his political nemesis whom he accused of propagating lies and confusion aimed at disintegrating jubilee party.

He further reiterated his stand on the unity pact however vowing not to entertain those allegedly keen on sowing seeds of discord.


Accompanied by several leaders drawn from the region, Ruto put to rest emerging allegations that he influenced some legislators to tarnish Raila Odinga’s position in the V.A.T fuel debate two weeks ago.

Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa downplayed ODM’s disciplinary actions against her for backing Ruto’s presidential bid, saying the residents stand to gain immensely in their renewed political stand.

The government has injected 60 billion shillings to fast track the construction of the Mombasa-Malindi dual carriage highway as well as the refurbishment of inland roads across the region.
