A section of political leaders from the Coast region have vowed to support Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid irrespective of their political affiliation.
The endorsement comes in the wake of political uncertainty generated by the clamor for constitutional review by some MPs.
Ruto continued with his tour of the Coast on Saturday reiterating the Government’s pledge to support coast residents in development matters.
Speaking in Kwale during the opening of Mpirani primary school, the Ruto emphasized that the Jubilee government remains committed to addressing the plight of Kenyans irrespective of their political affiliations.

Area leaders took a swipe at ODM leader Raila Odinga whose support in the region has been steadfast saying that his time in politics is over.
The sentiments were echoed at Kombani Township where the Ruto issued title deeds and commissioned a class block for Tiwi Girls Secondary school.
This comes even as debate over proposed amendments to the constitution continues to divide public opinion amid sustained push by a section of the political class for a referendum.
