Police on Sunday said that they were reviewing CCTV footage to help identify the suspects behind the Latema Road, Nairobi, blast that left two people injured on Saturday.
In a statement, police said that the two sustained slight injuries and were treated at a local dispensary and discharged.
“We wish to inform the public that investigations that will help in identifying those who may have been involved in the incident, including reviewing the CCTV camera footage are ongoing,” the statement read.
Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation visited the scene of the blast yesterday morning to conduct investigations.
Witnesses said that an identified man had hired a handcart pusher to transport his luggage, but one of the bags exploded at the Latema Road-Tom Mboya Street junction.
Nairobi County police boss Philip Ndolo said the man who hired the trolley pusher ran away from the scene immediately after the loud explosion was heard.
